Today was a difficult day, and this week’s been more difficult than other weeks. Over the past few years and months, the unfair and harsh realities of life have become acutely clear, and my ability to cope has been truly tested.

One ray of sunshine is my latest release going live in a few hours. 🙂 This song is about loving yourself as you are, and accepting truths you can’t change and yet valuing your growth and potential no matter what other people say or do to you. It’s one of my favourites. I hope you all enjoy it and are able to find peace and joy this weekend.

New year, new music. 2015 was an amazing year for my personal music career. I released four new tracks and pushed myself to sing at more gigs in the city. Can’t wait to see what 2016 brings for my work and passion.

New Song: My Imaginary Friend

With Halloween and Day of the Dead fast approaching, I thought I’d release a song with some creepy chords and undertones to get in the spirit.

“My Imaginary Friend” is a conversation between myself and my imaginary friend. The inspiration for the song came from a long distance relationship I was in that left me feeling desperate and lonely. Love is a complicated emotion and I often would pretend to have conversations throughout the day that, in reality, only existed in my head. The relationship was difficult and toxic and these imaginary conversations made me feel alive, living in a fantasy world I created and controlled. The lyrics were written during long trips and train rides and was an outlet to understand my feelings.
