Bloom Update

The last bud on my first orchid plant that started blooming just opened this morning. I’ve been watching it for days, hoping it would open. The first bud on my second orchid opened yesterday. The flowers look incredibly beautiful, and it feels almost like a good omen. Sadly, my passionflower plant is merely sending up green shoots, but at the very least I have managed to keep it alive for several months now and it adds a different shade of green to my living room.

Woke up this morning to Garbage playing in my head. Cup of Coffee…

Cycles

I started working on the arrangement for Colours last week, and I’m working through the song relatively quickly. There’s a lot more to do even after the basic structure is complete, but it’s really exciting to see the song come to life. I may have shed a few tears while I was working on the chords, which is always a good sign.

This morning I also noticed that one of the buds on one of my orchids had opened. The first flower of the year. I can’t get enough of it; I want to keep staring at it. It makes me so happy.

All in all, I’m in a really good state of mind. Not bad, May, not a bad start at all.
